Save money and make your own professional greeting cards, wedding invitations, menus, birthday cards etc with our free professional video tutorials. The methods shown in our videos are simple and will allow you to be able to create portrait and landscape double sided greeting cards. You can use our free Photoshop templates for your own projects and adapt them to suit.
TO SAVE TEMPLATES, PC Users:
Click a blue template link so the document opens up in a new window. Then, right click on the image and click "save picture as", save this in any folder or on your desktop - you can then open this up in Adobe Photoshop (or any other image editing application) for editing.
TO SAVE TEMPLATES, MAC Users:
Single click a blue template link . The image will then open up in a new window (please allow a few seconds to download). Then, go to: File > Save As, in your Internet Browser. Save this to your desktop (or any folder). You can then open this image in Adobe Photoshop (or any other image editing application).
The paper used in all of our videos for Greeting Cards is Marrutt Double Sided Matt Paper. This Paper is extremely good value for money and creates a sharp fold which is ideal for greeting cards, wedding invitations etc. Marrutt Double Sided Matt Paper is compatible with dye and pigment based inks.

Video 1 Contents:
1 – In Photoshop create new image of size you require, we suggest A4 or A3.
2 – To create fold line, select view then new guide. Position the fold line centrally.
3 – Select the photograph you want to use, crop to size and drag onto image 1 against fold line.
4 – For Inner message, repeat steps 1 and 2 and add text, for example Merry Christmas.
5 – To rotate text, select edit, transform and then rotate 180 degrees.
Video 2 Contents:
Print your own greetings cards on your inkjet printer using Marrutt 230gsm Archival Matt Double-sided paper. This video shows how to print a sidefold card with a full bleed front image cover and ornate script text inner. - You can easily print to bleed if your page setup allows - usually you can print the 'A' format sizes to bleed using 'sheet feeder - borderless' setting. Subsequent movies show sidefold and custom sizes - custom sizes usually mean using a front image with border or vignette (feathered edge), which is explained in our third movie in this greeting card printing series...
Video 3 Contents:
1 – In videos 1 and 2 the images were printed to the edge, however sometimes you may wish to create a border.
2 – In Photoshop create new image, we used 14” x 5”, this will create greeting cards of 7” x 5”
2 – To create fold line, select view then new guide. Position the fold line centrally.
3 – Select the photograph you want to use, crop to size and drag onto image 1 against fold line.
4 – To create border, select rectangular marquee tool then adjust for required border. Invert then use paint bucket to create border.
5 – For Inner message, repeat steps 1 and 2 and add text.
6 – To rotate text, select edit, transform and then rotate 180 degrees.

This video shows you all of the paper sizes we sell for your greeting cards.
However we are happy to sell our papers in custom sizes. We have an in house digital guillotine which will cut your paper to any size you require for you or your customers’ requirements. This saves you the problem of paper trimming when printing.
