Large Format Refill Cartridges: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can i introduce these one at a time alongside my existing cartridges?
A: Yes you can. Each refillable cartridge operates independently of neighboring cartridges and as Marrutt ink is formulated to create an almost exact match to OEM colors, you can introduce cartridges one at a time without wasting ink and with no noticeable change to your printing output.
Q: Why would I want to change to refillable cartridges?
A: Quite simply, to save money. If you print an 11 x 8.5 photo, you are using as much ink as 40 pages of text! - Using refill cartridges allows you to use a good quality photographic ink in bottles, which works out at around one fifth of the ink cost!
Q: How do i refill and reset a refillable cartridge?
A: When the printer indicates a cartridge needs changing, press the cartridge change button, remove from printer and take out filling bung. Fill the cartridge with ink using a funnel provided and replace filling bung. Touch the chip re-setter against cartridge chip to reset cartridge. Re-seat the cartridge and press cartridge change button. The ink level will read 100% and you can print again.
Q: How do many times can a refillable cartridge be re-filled?
A: 9 times out of 10, for as long a the printer can still print! These cartridges are very robust and there is only the cartridge chip and the cartridge seal that can become faulty. All our refillable cartridges come with a 1 year warranty.

SO THE BEST PRINTERS TO USE ALONGSIDE THE EPSON 7800 ARE...
In our current range there are 4 popular printers that use entirely the same inkset as the Epson 9800. These are illustrated in the chart below as group 2. As an example, if you use an Epson R2400 for A3 printing alongside your 9800, you will only need to purchase 1 set of ink from us - the larger the ink bottles the better the value!
The printers in groups 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 use some of the same inks as the Epson 9800. See the chart below for full details and please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any additional information.
