What are printer purge files?
We know how frustrating it is when one or more colors are blocked on your printer. So we have provided free printer purge files for your printer. Printer purge files are areas of a solid color (or a selection of colors) that can get clear a blocked printer without having to resort to printer cleaning cycles.

Why not just use the printers head clean facility?
Cleaning a printer using head cleans can be effective but it uses up a little of all the inks - whether all the inks need cleaning or just the one. It's not a good idea to print more than 3 head cleans in a row - if a printer cant be cured after this amount, carrying out more head cleans will cause further harm to the printer and waste a lot ink. This is where printer purge files are useful as they can concentrate on individual colors rather than the full range without using ink that does not require cleaning.

What happens when a printer has a severe blockage?
For more severe blockages (where your nozzle check is missing in the same places each time), we recommend you carry out a combination of printing purge files (individual or complete depending on the color(s) that are missing) with cleaning the printer using Magic Bullet Print Head Cleaner. This combination means you are softening the ink that has dried inside your printer using the Magic Bullet fluid and then pushing the ink through using the purge file. Magic Bullet breaks ink particles down.
Directions as shown in video -
1 - Cut a cloth approx 50mm x 300mm
2 - Mover carriage across, place the cloth under head
3 - Lay cloth on platen, pull head across
4 - Draw Magic Bullet, apply on each side of cloth
5 - Pull the cloth back and forth for 10 seconds
6 - Repeat process until perfect Nozzle Check

2 - Draw 1ml of Magic Bullet, squirt onto Felt
3 - Allow Magic Bullet to soak for 10 seconds
4 - Gently dry with towel
5 - Soak cotton buds with Magic Bullet
6 - Clean Surround

1 - With a flat screw-driver push to back of printer
2 - Soak cotton bud with Magic Bullet
3 - Wipe cotton bud either side of wiper blade
4 - If lots of dry ink wipe with screwdriver
5 - Lubricate with Magic Bullet
6 - Don't forget to place wiper blade back!

Directions as shown in video -
1 - Syringe 1/2ml of Magic Bullet onto spit pad
2 - Allow to soak for 30 seconds
3 - Dry with towel, do not touch film strip!
4 - Repeat 2 or 3 times
5 - Spit pad should be allowing head to clear itself
