The Inkjet Printer Nozzle Check

What Is A Nozzle Check?
A printer nozzle check is a test for clogged inkjet nozzles. A complete nozzle check indicates that that your printer has correct ink flow.
An incomplete nozzle check indicates that your printers' inkflow is not as it should be and action needs to be taken.
Why Is A Printer Nozzle Check So Important?
An incomplete nozzle check can lead to incorrect color, banding and a general lack of quality.
Printing a nozzle check immediately when an issue is identified can save time and wasted materials as a printed nozzle check can be used to select the correct cleaning method. Over-cleaning or incorrect cleaning methods a can result in further issues.
How Do I Print A Nozzle Check?
A nozzle check is printed through the Utility section in the printer driver for most printers but the technique does differ depending on if you are using a Mac or PC.
A nozzle check can often be printed straight from a printers LCD screen if they have one.

When Should I Print A Nozzle Check?
We recommend you print a nozzle check before each printing session and as soon as you notice any printing issue (banding, lack of detail / quality for example).
In periods of non use, we also recommend you print a nozzle check at least every three days. The action of turning the printer on, printing a nozzle check and then turning off keeps the ink flowing through the print head with the result of a complete nozzle check confirming that your printer has correct ink flow.

When you experience a persistant incomplete nozzle check, the Magic Bullet cleaning fluid is capable of clearing the most stubborn of blockages. The strong vapor from the magic bullet fluid breaks down the dried ink and the action of printing the purge files clears away the softened ink residues resulting in an unclogged printer head.
